What a small office move includes
- A walkthrough of both spaces. Loading doors, elevators, stairs, the distance from the truck to the suite, and any rules the landlord or the plaza sets for moving hours.
- A labelling plan. Every desk, chair, box and monitor tagged to a person and a spot on the new floor plan, so the crew places things without asking and staff sit down on Monday at their own desk.
- Furniture taken apart and rebuilt. Workstations, boardroom tables, shelving and reception desks come apart for the truck and go back together at the new address.
- Crates or boxes for files and contents. Reusable crates for office contents where it makes sense; cartons where it does not.
- Equipment handling. Copiers, servers in a rack, safes, dental or medical equipment, small machinery. Each gets its own plan and the right dolly. Anything that needs a technician to disconnect — a networked copier, a compressor, a gas appliance — is disconnected by that technician before the crew arrives.
After hours and weekends
Most business moves happen outside business hours, and the crew is set up for it. Friday evening load and Saturday delivery is the usual shape. Overnight moves are possible when the building allows access. Plazas along Hespeler Road often restrict where a truck can stand at the front, and downtown Galt has one-way streets and limited loading, so the standing spot is planned with the landlord rather than improvised.
Clinics, practices and shops
A dental or physio clinic, a law office, an accounting practice, a hair salon, a retail shop with stock: each has one or two items that need care beyond furniture. Patient files and client records are packed by your staff and stay in your control; the crew moves sealed boxes. Retail stock is packed by your team or by ours on a separate line. Salon chairs and equipment are disconnected from plumbing and power by the appropriate trade first.

The crew moves what a crew can move on a dolly or with a pallet jack through a loading door. Some of the shortest office moves are a suite change down the hall or across a Hespeler Road plaza when a lease is renegotiated or a business grows into the unit next door. There is no truck, or barely one, and the whole job is labour and carts. What is not included
Old furniture and equipment you are not taking is junk removal, a separate service; many landlords require the suite to be empty at the end of the lease, so plan that with a cleanout crew separately. IT disconnection and reconnection is your IT provider's job. Storage is not provided. Long-distance corporate relocations to another province are not what this line books.
